Order the restaurant’s signature lemon-flavored karaage with its tangy sweet and sour flavor. After the restaurant opened four years ago, this lemony chicken became a favorite among the Sasebo City locals.

Tomoko Tanaka from the Stars and Stripes Sasebo Office recently visited and enjoyed a takeout boxed lunch. She said her lunch came with about six pieces of crisp and flavorful chicken and a large serving of rice for 750 yen (or $7).

Karaageya ICHI also offers other lunch sets including fried chicken with tartar sauce, curry rice, onigiri rice balls, yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), fried takoyaki (ball-shaped pancake with octopus) and fried potato.

If the thought of fried chicken for lunch or dinner has you fired up, make the short 15-minute-walk from Sasebo Naval Base to Karaageya ICHI today!
