The cold days in Japan from the Kanto Plain up north, continue. But, if you look closely, you might find some signs of spring.

In Kannonzaki Park near Yokosuka Naval Base, red pinkish Kawazusakura (an early variety of cherry blossoms) and bright yellow Canola blossoms are already blooming, telling us that warm spring is just around the corner!

Today’s Japanese phrase is: “Mosugu haru desune!

“mosugu” = soon, shortly, “haru” = spring, “desune” = it is/will be ..

Now take out your winter coat and head out to find signs of spring. Have a wonderful spring in Japan!
