Near Misawa Air Base you can now welcome the winter season with hundreds of illuminations at the Phantasia Winter Illumination.
The project is hosted at the Misawa Nakayoshi Park and will run through January 10. Visitors will be treated to the “Forest of Illumination” featuring over 70,000 LED lights, an illuminated reindeer and, at the center, a 16-meter-high Christmas tree.
The park will be open from 4 p.m. to midnight every night of the illumination, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy this holiday treat.
On Dec. 4, there will also be a special “Misawa Nakayoshi Sauna” event where visitors can enjoy a sauna soak free of charge between 2 and 8 p.m. that day. Free T-shirt, half pants and towel rentals will also be available.
