Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport

Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport ()

Tottori Precture is not only famous for its sand dunes and hot springs, but also for its delicious Tottori Beef (I had only heard of Kobe Beef) and juicy watermelon. The prefecture is also the birthplace of manga artist Gosho Aoyama, who created the “Chotto Mattete” and the “Detective Conan” series. And the prefecture is doing all it can to attract manga enthusiasts.

The second you step off the plane, or step onto the train, you’ll be surrounded by all things Detective Conan. Don’t miss Hokuei Town, where the manga artist was born and has many tributes to his famous comic books.

Other great attractions include the sand dunes, Shirakabe Dozo-gun Shopping Center, the Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory and the House of Conan Beika Shopping Street.
