JAPAN

(Stripes Japan)

Although we are now in September, the temperatures are staying pretty high.

The sunshine continues to be strong in Okinawa and mainland Japan. So, when we go out and hit the beach, let’s keep this phrase in mind:

“Hikage de kyuukei shimasho,” which means “Let’s take a break in the shade.”

(“hikage” – shade, “de” – in/at, “kyuukei” – break/time-off, “shimasho” – let’s ~)

We still have plenty of time to enjoy the water around the island. Let’s make the most of it but let’s also be sure to cool down from time to time.

See you in the next episode of Speakin’ Japanese!
