Azabudai Hills is a new, mixed shopping, office and living complex near Tokyo Tower is seeking to create a “modern urban village.”

The complex opened in November and is home to about 150 shops and restaurants, a market, hotel and wellness facility, and museums. With its exterior, Azabudai Hills creates a whimsical feeling with interesting architecture harmonizing with the lush green space, trees and sculptures created by renowned artists.

Garden Plaza, a bizarre building located over the square and garden has high-end restaurants, café and shops. In the basement, there are art galleries and soon, the popular digital art museum teamLab Borderless will reopen in February.

Also coming soon, Azabudai Market will have 24 special shops selling fish, meat, vegetables and sweets.

Azabudai Hills is also home to the country’s tallest building, JP Mori Tower, which stands 330 meters high. Visitors can head to the 33rd floor Sky Lobby for a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. In the Sky Room Café & Bar on the 34th floor, you can enjoy authentic espresso while looking down the Sky Lobby and the city view spreading through the large glass windows.
