Starting on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, all five Konica Minolta Planetariums in Japan—located in Yurakucho, Ikebukuro, Oshiage, Yokohama, and Nagoya—will host a special cherry blossom event. Before each planetarium screening, visitors will be treated to stunning footage of cherry blossoms, creating an immersive viewing experience in the dome.

The event allows guests to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossoms without worrying about factors like the weather or pollen, offering a comfortable setting to take in the seasonal atmosphere. The event will run until Monday, April 14th, 2025, and is included in the ticket price for regular planetarium shows.

Photography is welcome during the sakura displays, so visitors can capture the cherry blossoms from their seats as they wait for the main show to begin. To make the most of the Sakura Welcome Dome, it’s recommended to arrive early, as the footage lasts for only 5 to 10 minutes before the main screening starts.
