Misawa American Day, one of the largest and most popular cross-cultural events in Misawa, was held June 23 and drew over 60,000 visitors.

The annual event included live performances, a parade featuring 150 Harley Davidson motorcycles and 15 classic cars, static displays and countless food and game booths.

On the eve of the event, the PACAF Asia-Pacific Band “Pacific Trends” performed popular American and Japanese standard numbers, raising expectations for American Day.

Since 1989, Misawa City and Misawa Air Base host American Day event in the center of city and on the U.S. air base to celebrate American culture and promote friendship between local Japanese people and military community.
