Bright colza flowers create dreamy landscape near Misawa AB

While the lovely spring continues in Aomori, the northern extreme area of mainland Japan, colza flowers are currently in full bloom about one hour away from Misawa Air Base. Enter the dreamy landscape at Shizen-en Natural Park in Yokohama Town for a close look at the bright flowers.

On May 11-12, the Nanohana Festival to celebrate the colza flowers will be next to the park. The event will feature countless beautiful colza, live performances, game booths and food booths.

On May 11, don’t miss the bingo game which will feature prizes including local products. On May 12, around 1,000 runners will compete in 2K, 3K, 5K and 10K runs through the flower field.
