Members of Team Yokota celebrated the U.S. Air Force’s 77th birthday during the annual Air Force Ball at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Oct. 5.

The event included a cake-cutting ceremony, and a Kagami-Biraki sake barrel ceremony by commanders and chiefs from both the 374th Airlift Wing and Japan Air Self-Defense Force Operations Support Wing, in a unique blend of Japanese and American traditions, and a DJ performance by Lt. Col. Darrick Duran, 374th Mission Support Group deputy commander.

The Air Force Ball is a time-honored tradition where military communities join to celebrate Air Force heritage and commemorate past and present contributions to national defense.
