MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Wild Weasel of the Week: Senior Airman Davis Qian

35th Logistics Readiness Squadron: Wing Support Agreement Manager

This week’s Wild Weasel of the Week (WWoW) is U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Davis Qian, 35th Logistics Readiness Squadron logistics planner.

Airmen recognized as WWoW represent the very best that each squadron at Misawa Air Base has to offer. Each selectee is chosen based on their superior performance, outstanding work ethic, and dedication to the U.S. Air Force core values.

Qian plays a crucial role in the 35th Fighter Wing’s support of the upcoming Pacific Air Force Resolute Force Pacific exercise. Since arriving at Misawa in October 2022, he has synchronized logistics for 23 aircraft, 11 units, and over 2,600 tons of cargo across eight weapons systems, redefining how the wing supports large-scale deployments.

“Communication is everything in this job,” said Qian. “Being able to connect squadrons and agencies is what makes our mission possible.”

Outside of work, Qian enjoys traveling and hopes to visit Hokkaido and Kyushu before leaving Japan. His dedication, adaptability, and strategic foresight make him a key asset to the 35th Fighter Wing and beyond.
