(Stripes Japan)

Do you like eel? I do! Very much! The fish looks a bit ugly, but it is very tasty and nutritious.

In Japan, it is custom to eat eel on the "Midsummer Day of the Ox," according to Japanese Zodiac. We do this to overcome the summer heat and fatigue.

For this year, the Midsummer Day of the Ox falls on July 28.

Today's Japanese phrase is:

"Unagi wo tabemasho." = Let's eat eel. ("unagi" = eel, "... wo tabemasho" = let's eat...)

Enjoy Japanese tasty fish with your friend on the upcoming "Midsummer Day of the Ox" (July 28) and let's beat the heat and fatigue of the midsummer.

Stay safe and stay in good shape!
