Venue: Tennozu Isle

When: May 23rd - May 25th 2025

The Tennoz Canal Festival will return to Tokyo’s waterfront this May, offering three days of art, food, and cultural events around Shinagawa’s Tennozu Isle. Drawing over 25,000 visitors annually, this seasonal event transforms the area into a lively open-air venue with activities for all ages.

Attendees can enjoy a variety of attractions across several sites, including CANAL EAST and Isle Shinagawa. A major draw is the craft beer festival, which features 13 breweries from across Japan and Asia. Food lovers can also explore a curated bread market and a lineup of over 25 gourmet food trucks serving a mix of international and Japanese street food. A dedicated space for coffee and baked goods adds to the local flavor.

The festival also includes cultural and artistic programming. The Waterside Film Festival will screen “Asteroid City” and “Bob Marley: One Love” on a large outdoor screen set against the canal. Another highlight is the art cruise, where visitors can board a boat to view waterside art installations and scenic sights around the Rainbow Bridge.

Dance fans can catch a high-level battle judged by figures from Japan’s D.LEAGUE and global hip-hop scene. Traditional Japanese entertainment is also featured, with ozashiki-asobi experiences hosted by geisha from the historic Matsunoya teahouse, offering a rare glimpse into refined performing arts.
