MISAWA AB – As a 50th Anniversary Vietnam War Commemorative Partner, the Misawa Exchange will host pinning ceremonies for the final time the Misawa BX at 12 p.m. on 29 March at Misawa Main Exchange to honor and recognize Vietnam War-era Veterans.

The Commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War was authorized by Congress, established under the secretary of defense and launched in 2012 to thank and honor Vietnam Veterans and their families through Veterans Day 2025.

Veterans who served on active duty from Nov. 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, are eligible to receive a commemorative lapel pin inscribed with “A Grateful Nation Thanks and Honors You.” The Misawa BX ceremony will be held at 12 p.m. on 29 March at Misawa Main Exchange.

“Team Exchange is truly honored to once again celebrate the selfless service of Vietnam War-era Veterans who served with distinction,” said Misawa Exchange General Manager Michickia Carter. “It is a privilege to join a thankful nation as we show our deepest appreciation and support for these heroes.”
