GUAM, Sept. 10, 2021 – United Airlines announced today that it expanded its Guam-Manila service to daily from five-times weekly beginning September 7, 2021. This expanded service conveniently provides customers in Guam with more options to travel to Manila and daily connections for Manila passengers connecting to United’s daily Guam-Saipan service and Guam-Honolulu flights that offer further connections to U.S. cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Denver.

Sam Shinohara, United’s managing director of Airport Operations for Asia-Pacific said, “United continues to find opportunities to provide better connections for its customers in the region. The Guam-Manila flight is an important service for Guam residents seeking medical care in the Philippines and Philippines travelers looking to connect to the mainland U.S. through Guam and Honolulu. We are pleased to be able to offer our customers more flights between Guam and Manila and return to our daily schedule.”

With the addition of Monday and Thursday schedules, flights will depart and arrive at A. B. Won Pat International Airport, Guam and land and depart from Terminal 3 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila as scheduled below:

Shinohara noted that the Philippines is a key market in Asia, and United will be celebrating its 40th anniversary of service to the Philippines in 2022.

The flight offers three types of onboard services: United Business Class, Economy Plus which offers extra legroom, and United Economy. Tickets are available for purchase at united.com.

United Waives Change Fees

United is allowing changes without a fee for international travel if the ticket is issued by September 30, 2021. Basic Economy tickets can only be changed if they’re issued by December 31, 2021, for travel commencing by December 31, 2021.

United in the Philippines

United has provided service to Manila for nearly 40 years and over the course of the pandemic has maintained continuous service between Manila and Guam. United will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its service to the Philippines in 2022. United is the only U.S. airline connecting Manila and Guam, thus also offering convenient flight service to Honolulu and Saipan via its hub in Guam.
