The Shinagawa Kids Family Terrace event endeavors to foster this, with seven different programs that promote learning in creative ways.
For instance, there will be the imagination playground where children can freely stack life-size blocks to create their own play area, a block play zone where children and adults can build creations together, and even an aqua play area.
Best of all, the two-day event has no admission fee, making for a budget-friendly family activity.
GETTING THERE The Shinagawa Kids Family Terrace event takes place at the Shinagawa Season Terrace Event Plaza and surrounds. The general area can be accessed in around 7 minutes on foot from Shinagawa Station, which is served by various lines including the Tōkaidō Shinkansen, the Yamanote Line, and the Keihin–Tōhoku Line.
