If you haven't visited the Acao Forest in Atami City, Shizuoka, it’s time to start planning a trip for some beautiful photos.

The cherry blossoms are almost in full bloom and the park offers several scenic spots overlooking the ocean. Acao Forest is known for its historic rose garden and is roughly a two-hour drive from Yokosuka. On the grounds, Coeda House is a café where you can grab a coffee, treats and small gifts. The café’s rose ice cream is a must-try.

The park also features dog-friendly areas, free parking, and bus rides along the different routes.

Admission is 1,500 for adults and children 800 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is also a Night Walk, after-hours admission from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting March 6. Other activities available at the park include workshops for herbal nail oil and soapmaking ranging from 1,200 to 1,500 yen per person.
