Grab your ecobags and head to Shunan City for a day at the flea market on March 24.

This biannual market draws a big crowd and this particular event assembles under the theme of “Find your spring,” according to the event organizers.

Check out all the good deals, food and entertainment at the JR Tokuyama Station square and along Tokuyama Shotengai shopping mall, only an hour away from MCAS Iwakuni.

The Shunan Flea Market promises plenty of antiques, imported goods, clothing, records, books and more from 66 vendors. Sample tasty Chinese steamed buns, curry, baked goods and other good eats while you’re shopping.

“While this biannual event near Iwakuni has expanded each time, and at this time, not only local Yamaguchi vendors, but some from as far as Kochi, Ehime or Kagoshima Prefectures are also participating,” Tomoyuki Arao of Stars and Stripes Iwakuni Office, said. “I’m looking forward to enjoying more variations in goods and food during the event.”
