Godzilla once teamed up with Okinawan Shisa dog. In “Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla,” which came out in 1974, King Caesar, an incarnation of Okinawa’s Shisa dog, was summoned to fight the mechanical monster, which posed like a real Godzilla in early part of the film. The “real” Godzilla later joined the Shisa dog and together they beat the “fake” Godzilla.
