Venue: Kamakura Central Beach When: Saturday - Jul 22nd 2023

The Kamakura Beach Bon Odori Festival was first held in 2013, and the event combines traditional and lively Japanese folk dancing with the picturesque waters of Sagami Bay as a backdrop. The family-friendly affair also includes chanting of sutras and burning of incense by local monks, traditional music performances featuring instruments like the shinobue and shamisen, and kids dance routines.

Admission to the event is free of charge. If you plan on attending, please note that in the event of rainy weather the festival will be moved from Kamakura Central Beach to Umi-no Ie Asia.
