U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Makara Khath, Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji distribution management office chief, is presented the 2021 USO Service Salute Award by Col. Robert Bodisch, installation commanding officer, at CATC Camp Fuji, Dec. 7, 2021. The USO Service Salute Award honors active duty U.S. service members and Japan Self-Defense Force members for exceptional performance on and off duty. The nomination was selected based on the eight core values of the USO: mission first, do the right thing, innovation, respect, excellence, collaboration, gratitude, and accountability.
