YOKOTA AIR BASE – Yokota Air Base welcomed a new dining option with Smoothie Heaven, bringing a local favorite to the Exchange’s lineup.

Smoothie Heaven expands the food options for the base’s east side, offering a better-for-you variety of smoothie options along with crepes, pastries and other desserts.

Guests received free samples and branded handheld fans from the Smoothie Heaven team.

Col. Donavan Laskey, 374th Air Wing deputy commander; CMSgt Kenneth Hauck, 374th Air Wing Command Chief, Andrew Defelice, Yokota Exchange general manager; and George De la Cruz, Yokota Exchange services business manager attended the grand opening.

“This is a special opening for Yokota, welcoming our local restaurant to the base,” Exchange General Manager Andrew Defelice said. “This is an especially welcome addition to the east side of Yokota, which is on the opposite side of the flightline from the main Exchange and most restaurants.

“We are honored to partner with a local favorite and embrace the talents and passion of the local community.”

Smoothie Heaven is next to the East Express at Bldg. 1380 and is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
