German food and culture enthusiasts in Tokyo, rejoice!

Head to Aoyama Park in Tokyo for Deutschlandfest 2023 running through Nov. 5

The German festival is only a stone’s-throw from Hardy Barracks in Roppongi and is co-sponsored by the German Embassy.

Enjoy a Bavarian atmosphere with lots of adult beverages and foods to try at the many booths at the outdoor venue. Vendors are serving up German beer, sausages, pastries and more.

Live entertainment will also keep the event lively on stage throughout the festival. There are even traditional craft workshops planned. Don’t miss it!

This annual festival was initiated in 2011, as a commemorative event for the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relation of Japan and Germany. This year, the event counts the 10th times with two years of cancellation due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. There are more than 30,000 visitors every year, according to the event provider.

As admission is free, even if you won’t drink a beer, you can come to enjoy the activities.
