Yokota Air Base – The Yokota Exchange is kicking off the 23rd year of its You Made the Grade Program, which rewards military students who earn good grades.

Yokota students in first through 12th grades, including homeschool students, can bring their military ID and report card with a B average or higher to their local Exchange customer service area each grading period for prizes.

Students with straight A’s will receive a $20 Exchange gift card while students with a B average will receive a $10 Exchange gift card. Both will receive an Exchange coupon sheet, including:

  • Free small fountain drink, frozen drink, or Revolution Tea

  • Free kid’s haircut at The Barber Shop, Hair Studios, or Stylique beauty salons

  • Free kid’s meal at a participating Exchange restaurant ($6.50 or less)

  • Free combo meal at a participating Exchange restaurant ($10 or less)

  • $5 shopping coupon at Exchange mall concessions or kiosks

  • 10% off any pair of headphones (excluding Apple and Beats)

  • 10% off apparel and footwear

“Military students face unique challenges such as frequent moves, parental deployments and changing schools,” said Yokota Exchange General Manager Andrew Defelice. “The Exchange is honored to salute our youngest heroes for their hard work in the classroom while staying resilient.”

Additionally, students who participate in the You Made the Grade program can enter a worldwide sweepstakes twice a year for a chance to win a $2,000, $1,500 or $500 Exchange gift card. Drawings take place in December and June.

To enter, students can complete the form on the back of the gift card reward sleeve and mail it to:
