Yokota Air Base – The Yokota Exchange is making holiday shopping easy and convenient with fee-free layaway service.

From Sept. 6 through Dec. 24, the Exchange is waiving the $3 service fee for layaways of clothing, toys and more when paid in full and picked up by Dec. 24. Eligible items must be paid in full and picked up by Dec. 24 for the waived service fee.

Shoppers can also enjoy the waiver on layaways of eligible electronics, including notebooks, tablets, iPads and smartwatches when paid in full and picked up by Dec. 13.

“Shoppers can get a head start on the holiday shopping season with our fee-free layaway service,” said Yokota Exchange General Manager Andrew Defelice. “Service members and their families can make the most of their budgets on military-exclusive priced items in addition to our everyday tax-free guarantee.”

To start a new layaway, a deposit of 15% of the total purchase price is required. Some exclusions apply. A $5 cancellation fee applies on layaways that have been paid in full. Shoppers with questions can visit the customer service desk.
