BE FIT (Army & Air Force Exchange Service Public Affairs)

Yokota Air Base – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service makes it convenient for the Yokota community to find healthy dining choices.

As part of the BE FIT 360 program, the Yokota Exchange offers better-for-you meals, snacks and beverages at restaurants and the Expresses.

All Yokota Exchange restaurants offer better-for-you options:

  • Charley’s Philly Steaks offers items with 300 calories or fewer including grilled chicken, steak and garden salads, as well as a selection of small cheesesteaks with fewer than 500 calories.

  • Taco Bell is proud to offer food that fits all lifestyles, made with high-quality ingredients that are simple to understand. Whether you’re looking for options that are vegetarian, made without gluten, high protein, lower calorie or fat, or in the mood for something indulgent, Taco Bell has food for all. Did you know that Taco Bell was the first QSR to offer vegetarian-certified menu items by the American Vegetarian Association (AVA)? Today, there are over 30 vegetarian ingredients on our menu during both breakfast and the rest of the day, the majority of which are also certified vegan. These can be combined for nearly 1,000 breakfast combinations and nearly 1 million combinations the rest of the day! Alternatively, you can order almost any item ‘fresco style’, which is a quick customization tool that replaces ingredients typically higher in calories and fat with freshly prepared pico de gallo.

  • Subway offers more than a dozen sandwiches with 350 calories or fewer including turkey breast, oven-roasted chicken, Veggie Delight and Black Forest ham.

Shoppers can also find healthy snacks at the Express with options like:

  • Fresh fruit

  • Yogurt

  • Trail mix and nuts

  • Energy bars

  • Tuna

  • Veggie chips

  • Bottled water

  • Fat free or 1% Milk

  • Fortified low sugar soy, almond or rice milk

  • Whole grain cereal

“Having quick and convenient access to better-for-you meals and snacks is vital for the readiness and resilience of the total force at Yokota,” said Yokota Exchange General Manager Andrew Defelice. “The Exchange is all in to support the health, wellness and nutrition of Yokota service members and their families with ever-expanding BE FIT options.”

The Exchange’s commitment to providing nutritious options extends to vending machines around the installation, with items like baked chips, dried fruit, trail mix and other snacks. Vending machines offer options that meet the National Automatic Merchandising Association Fit Pick requirements, reserved for products that contain no more than 35% of calories from fat, 10% of total calories from saturated fat and 35% of total weight from sugar.

Airmen, Soldiers, Guardians and families can learn more at the Exchange’s BE FIT hub page at ShopMyExchange.com/BeFit.
