Zama City, home to U.S. Army Garrison, is known as the “town of sunflowers” because of its seemingly-endless fields of sunflowers that bloom in the late summer. Stop by Zama Shrine and Banjinsui Park as they are considered power spots where your wish is more likely to be granted. There you’ll find a small shrine dedicated to the spirits of dogs and cats, and people who have sick or deceased pets often visit there to pray for their souls.
