Join us for a virtual walk around Yamashita Park in Yokohama.

This vast park has a bounty of green space on the harbor and amazing views of the water. Hikawa Maru, a memorial ship birthed at the park, adds to the nautical backdrop.

 

Walk under the shade of the many trees and enjoy the colorful flowerbeds, fountains and statues waiting for you around every corner. On the other side of park, you can find the Marine Tower and Hotel New Grand, a famous hotel where Gen. Douglas MacArthur was a guest just after the end of World War II.

Yamashita Park is in close proximity to some of the city’s other attractions like Chinatown, the Doll Museum, and the Red Brick Warehouse. When travel is safe again, this area will be a great spot for a fun outing.
