VIDEO| Speakin' Japanese lesson: It has become chilly these days!
As autumn deepens, the temperature has dropped and daylight gets shorter day after day. At Lake Kawaguchiko near Mt. Fuji, the gorgeous autumn leaves are at peak levels and at night are lit up beautifully for the Momiji Matsuri or Autumn Foliage Festival.
Today's Japanese phrase is:
“Hadazamuku narimashita!” 肌寒くなりました! = It's become chilly!
“hadazamuku" 肌寒く= chilly, ".. narimashitai” なりました = (It) has become ..
You can also say:
"Higa mijikaku narimashita." 日が短くなりました = It's getting dark earlier.
"Atatakaku narimashita." 暖かくなりました = It's become warmer.
"Okiku marimashita." 大きくなりました = (It/He/She/The child) has gotten big.
Don't catch a cold and enjoy the rest of the nice season of autumn in Japan!
