VIDEO| Speakin’ Japanese: Bicycles keep to the left
In Japan, cyclists are required by law to keep to the left of the road. So, before you hop on the saddle and hit the road with your bike, keep the following phrase in mind:
“Hidari-gawa wo tsuuko shimasho,” which means “Let’s keep to the left side of the road.”
(“Hidari” – left, “gawa” – side, “Tsuuko” – traffic/transit, “Shimasho” – let’s do ~)
Ok, enjoy your bike ride safely, and see you all in the next episode of Speakin’ Japanese!
