In the hilly center of the Izu peninsula, you’ll find Shuzenji Town offering hot spring resorts, open-air baths on a river bank, elegant Japanese bridges, old inns and charming temples and shrines. In November, the gorgeous autumn foliage here draws in many locals and tourist. Niji-no-Sato Park has illuminations so you can enjoy the fall colors of the 1,000 trees into the early evening.
