VIDEO| Seeking out Japan’s autumn season in Karuizawa and Kusatsu

We are finally in one of Japan’s most beautiful seasons. All around us the green forests, mountains and landscape are transforming into fiery crimson and vibrant orange hues. Shiraitonotaki Falls, located between the two towns, is another must-see attraction, as its countless waterfalls and gorgeous foliage are a beautiful sight.

At the end of your autumn color hunting, don’t miss soaking in the hot springs at Kusatsu Onsen, historically deemed as one of the best three in the country since the 15th century. The hot springs in Kusatsu are rich in minerals and will warm up your body after a long-day of strolling and driving.
