Kawazu Zakura cherry blossoms are now in full bloom in Miura City, only a 40-minute drive from Yokosuka Naval Base. The Kawazu Zakura is a different type of cherry blossom (Somei Yoshino) you'll see in late March. Don’t miss it and check out their impressive red-pinkish blossoms by strolling between the Misakiguchi and Miurakaigan Stations of KEIKYU Line and around the Komatsugaike Pond. The cherry blossom trees lining the street are illuminated after dark until Feb. 27.
