Mount Bandai in Fukushima Prefecture has made its transformation to autumn colors. Nearby, Goshikinuma, the five-color ponds, is a popular destination to view the colors of the season as well as a view of the majestic mountain. The water of the ponds change colors according to the weather, temperature and angle of sunshine. Locals believe that if you spot the large white carp with a red heart-shaped mark in the pond, it sure will bring you happiness. Hanitsu Shrine, located in beautiful forest at the foot of Mount Bandai has classical, solemn atmosphere, and is known as popular autumn foliage viewing spot, as well.
