Shiokawa is a 300-meter river in Okinawa’s Motobu town. It seems small, but this river is very special and its name is a hint as to why. Shiokawa is one of two saltwater rivers in the world. This unique feature has given it its designation as a natural treasure and power spot. According to a signage posted at the location, the other river with saltwater is in Puerto Rico.
