Venue: Setagaya-Daita Station, Shimokitazawa Station, and Higashi-Kitazawa Station

When: May 27th - May 28th 2023

The importance of trains in Japanese culture is reflected in the numerous railway-themed events, museums, and tourist attractions throughout the country, and a special event taking place in Tokyo this May is one example of this. The Shimokita Railway Festival is operating under the concept of "a cultural festival that you can enjoy with all five senses," and it's set to take place along the 1.7 kilometer route connecting three train stations – Setagaya-Daita Station, Shimokitazawa Station, and Higashi-Kitazawa Station.

There will be a wide variety of fun, family-friendly activities to check out, including a free petting zoo located outside Shimokitazawa Station, a variety of food booths, handicrafts for sale, and plenty more.

There is no admission fee to check out the event, but bring yen if you plan on making a purchase.
