Sasebo Sweets Festival back with a bang!

Sweets lovers, rejoice!
Sasebo Sweets Festival 2019 makes it sugary return June 29 and 30.
During this two-day annual festival, you can enjoy a slew of local sweets from 17 different Sasebo-area sweetshops. There will also be classes to learn how to make some of your favorite treats under the instruction of accomplished patisseries chefs for only 500 yen (about $4). 
For a small fee of 700 yen, participate in the Sasebo Sweets Championship. Sample 12 homemade sweets and enter your vote for the best, which could be crowned champion of 2019.

The festival will also include displays of houses and landscapes made of confectionery, along with various panels on the history and sweetshops in Sasebo.  

Get your sweet-tooth ready for some delightful desserts and candies!
