Shizuoka is a traveler's dream, with natural sights like Mount Fuji, tea fields, and stunning coastlines just some of the attractions to explore in the prefecture. It's also an extremely popular spot with locals, and has been the top region for domestic relocation for the past three years straight.

If you've got plans to visit Shizuoka up until March 18th 2023, there are some great discounts happening via Explore Shizuoka and JAPANiCAN which can save you some serious yen on your stay.

The Make a Break for Shizuoka campaign offers up to 50% off accommodation, which means you've got more cash to spend on other things – stocking up on some of the prefecture's top-tier green tea is one of our suggestions. The region is Japan's top tea producer, with somewhere around 40% of it coming from this part of the country.

There is one important stipulation to note regarding the Make a Break for Shizuoka campaign, however – the promotion is only available to foreign tourists visiting Japan on a short-stay visa. If you fit that category and will be visiting during the campaign period, be sure to take advantage of the discounts!
