The longest river in Okinawa is Hija River, which runs 9.9 miles in the mid part of Okinawa’s main island. The second longest is Genka river, which runs 8.39 miles in the northern part. In terms of dimension, Urauchi River on Iriomote Island is the widest with 20.9 mi².
