Have you ever seen a 2,000-yen bill? It is very hard to find in in shops and eateries. Because of its scarcity, they are often kept instead of used, thus not helping to circulate them. Although the bill is hard to find, it is still one of the four official bills in Japan, so you can acquire it at bank or post office anytime. The next time you’re grabbing cash, ask for a 2,000-yen bill for a cheap way to impress your friends.
