Yokota tour enhances US, Japan relations
YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Members of the National Base Relations Council, which represents 14 municipalities both locally and across Japan, toured Yokota Air Base to learn about the 374th Airlift Wing’s mission on January 20, 2023.
Council members got a hands-on experience with a C-130J Super Hercules, visited the new base passenger terminal, and met with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force’s Operations Support Wing.
The tour served as an educational opportunity that strengthened U.S. and Japan relations by sharing Yokota’s important mission to local government officials. Community events help strengthen partnerships and promote good will between the U.S. and Japan.
