USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76)

YOKOSUKA, Japan (Feb. 7, 2022) Culinary Specialist Seaman Amy Hosteen, from Phoenix, presents a cake commemorating the 111th birthday of President Ronald Reagan on the aft mess decks aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Culinary specialists assigned to the Ronald Reagan crew designed the cake to celebrate the ship’s namesake and his affinity for jelly beans. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
