USO Japan honors volunteers: SPC Caleb D. Davis
Service Member of the Year: SPC Caleb D. Davis, Camp Zama
Davis serves as a 14E1O, Radar Operator/Maintainer in Radar Platoon with 10th Missile Defense Battery. Davis has been in the Army for 18 months and is forward-deployed and serving at his first duty station in Sharki, Japan, the home to one of five AN/TPY-2 radars in the world. SPC Davis graduated from the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) course to earn the 7A skill identifier and is Combat Lifesaver qualified. SPC Davis recently won the 38thAir Defense Brigade Soldier of the Year competition and represented his unit at the United States Army Japan competition. Davis is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Grantham University. His interests include the unit’s community outreach program, outdoor activities and distance running.
