Service Member of the Year: HM1 Reginald Louis, Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo-Sea

Louis enlisted in the Navy in July of 2001 and in December 2017, he reported to Naval Beach Unit SEVEN Sasebo, Japan, where he currently serves as Senior Medical Representative. Prior to that, Louis reported to Combat Logistics Regiment-37 in Okinawa, Japan, from 2008-2010, where he earned his Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist qualification. From 2011 to 2015, Louis reported to Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, where he worked as a laboratory LPO, Internal Medicine LPO, and Command Fitness Leader. During this tour, he deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2013-2014 and qualified as Enlisted Information Dominance Warfare Specialist. In October 2016, Louis reported to Surface Warfare Medical Institute from 2016-2017, where he graduated as an Independent Duty Corpsman.
