Airman 1st Class Dakota Bernhart, 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels distribution operator, center, briefs members of the Japan Air Self Defense Force, 3rd Depot, on the particulars of an R-11 refueling truck during a base facilities tour Dec. 15, 2021, at Yokota Air Base, Japan. JASDF members were able to expand their knowledge of the logistic capabilities of U.S. Air Forces at Yokota, while further developing interoperability between U.S. and Japan Forces through hands-on demonstrations. Opportunities such as tours, exchange events and combined training with JASDF personnel and U.S. Air Force Airmen, has proven effective in increasing mutual understanding of military tactics, techniques, and procedures that help ensure both forces can successfully work together as a cohesive unit.
