374th Airlift Wing Public Affairs

Senior Airman Melique Suber Weeks, left, and Staff Sgt. Jay-Peter Tuazon, 36th Airlift Squadron loadmasters, adjust static lines in a C-130J Super Hercules on Yokota Air Base, Japan, before a personnel drop Nov. 15, 2021. Yokota’s 374th Airlift Wing and JGSDF’s 1st Airborne Brigade organized this demonstration of interoperability, bi-lateral training, and the capability to execute a large force insertion on a drop zone of more than 200 personnel. Proper execution of this large-scale ability showcases the strategic importance of engaging in bilateral operations and training.
