LT Bryan Jones from Carter, Montana

YOKOSUKA, Japan (Jan. 8, 2021) - Lt. Bryan Jones, a native of Carter, Montana, recently reported to Commander, Submarine Group 7 in Yokosuka, Japan after a successful 27-month tour aboard USS Alabama (SSBN 731) in Bangor, Washington. Jones is married with four children who he says were excited to come to Japan. “I was here before, as a temporary fill on USS Barry (DDG 52) and I liked it,” Jones said. “My wife was indifferent, but I think she’s warming up to it too.” Jones will serve as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics and Finance, supporting the logistics and supply needs of forward-deployed submarines in the 7th Fleet area of operations.
