by Yokota Air Base
U.S. Air Force

Congratulations to Tech. Sgt. Samantha Pienta, 374th Operations Support Squadron NCOIC of airfield management operations, on being the Airlifter of the Week!

Pienta embodies the 374th Airlift Wing’s vision of a team of professional Airmen in the way she turned her section around. After she inherited a section with two significant unit effectiveness inspection observations, she overhauled the program and wrote 25 quick reaction checklists, a 23-page operating instructions, and 5 letters of agreement. The changes she implemented resulted in her closing out both UEI observations in under 6 months. Additionally, her leadership and ingenuity has led modernization around the wing. She researched and led the installation of the first-ever VoIP secondary crash phone as she coordinated with contractors stateside to update her section and 13 other base agencies’ emergency networks for airfield response.

For all of the amazing work you have done and will continue to do, thank you and congratulations again to Tech. Sgt. Samantha Pienta.
