2019 Traffic Safety Mochi-Pounding Ceremony
YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 12, 2019) – Culinary Specialist 2nd Class Jared Brenmanpaffumi, assigned to the Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) General Mess, pounds mochi (Japanese rice cake) with a local kindergarten student during the 2019 Traffic Safety Mochi-Pounding Ceremony hosted by Yokosuka Driver Safety Administrators Association, Yokosuka Police Station, Yokosuka City and the CFAY Safety Department. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 26,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
