When you visit Korea Town, make sure to enjoy authentic taste with a stop at a barbecue restaurant.
 
Although there are 22 Korean restaurants located in the district, only a few open during lunch time. Among them, Karubiya Daiyuu is known for its high quality wagyu beef and reasonable price.
 
When I visited the popular eatery at around 1 p.m., there was already a 10-minute wait – always a good sign.
 
Although I was alone, I was invited to a semi-private room with traditional Korean red walls and ceiling. With a large barbecue grill at the table, the comfortable setting made me feel at home.

I ordered A5 (the best quality) wagyu loin set for 1,350 yen ($12).
 
The wagyu beef was really tender and tasty, and went well with the Korean flavored broth and salad. The set consisted of meat, salad, rice, soup, dessert and soft drink and really filled me up. Large portion of rice was for free if you wish.
 
The lunch beer was only 550 yen ($5) – reasonable for such a barbecue restaurant.
